A River Ceasing to be a River

DSCF2559

A new image from my Silt Road photography project – this is the sink-hole at Ash Mill where the river vanishes under the town. I took the picture at night trying to create a tension between the abstract beauty of the shadows and the rushing water and the incarceration of the river behind bars in a concrete culvert.
