In case any readers of this blog live in Norfolk and are themselves writers I am taking a writing workshop at Greshams School in Holt on Saturday the 1st of March. The workshop is called The Palimpsest of a River and  we will be exploring the stages of creative process from word sketches and notes to a finished passage of writing. We’ll look at how to find and use source material and how to dig down into the history of a place. I’m giving out some notes and exercises before the workshop so that people come armed with material.
