High Wycombe Library Events
I’ll be reading excerpts from and talking about Silt Road in High Wycombe this coming week.
On Wednesday 17th I’ll be at Flackwell Heath Community Library (starts 1930). Tickets are available from the library, priced £5 (£3 for Friends of the Library).
On Thursday 18th I’ll be at the main High Wycombe Public Library (starts 1900). Tickets available on the door, priced £2.
Signed books will be on sale at both events. Hope to see you there!

Dear Charles
Many thanks for the excellent talk on the ‘Silt Road’ last night, it was fascinating to hear something of the context of the book, and also get an opportunity to view some of your photographs of the river itself in the gallery space.
I found it a thought-provoking evening, and well worth the drive out of London to attend. It was a chance to ponder upon our ‘individual search for paradise’; and reflect on our often ambivalent attitude towards the rich and multi-layered landscape on our doorstep – great stuff!
I hope the gestation for the next one doesn’t take 10+ years this time!
Best wishes, and good luck with the book,
Nick
Thanks Nick. I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed it. We had a really good crowd and atmosphere I thought. With very best wishes, Charles.
